I was reeling in a 5ft barracuda when I got him up to the surface we saw a large splash in the water. I kept reeling the fish in and when we got to the boat 1/2 the barracuda was gone. The first mate threw in a bait with a larger hook on it. Within 30 seconds we hooked the shark. It was almost 45 minutes to reel the shark in. When we got him close to the boat he would take off and drag more line out and dive back down into the ocean. We finally got him to the boat and tagged him. This will be a story I will remember for a very long time. Such a cool experience.
