It was my first time out marlin fishing and this was the first fish we hooked. It was quite the fight and the beautiful fish even jumped 5 or 6 times, dancing over the water. Every time I felt like I was making progress on getting the fish closer to the boat, he would run for deeper water and peeled almost all of the line off of the reel down to the spool. It was a workout, but worth every second! What a great experience and what a pleasure it was holding that beautiful beast!
